Vincent Sagaert (born 1976)(Ph.D. Law, Leuven 2003)) is Full Professor of Private Law at the University of Leuven and Professor Property Law at the University of Antwerp and the Catholic University of Brussels.

He is the author of numerous articles and books on Property Law and the law of obligations. He is member of the Editorial Board of several Belgian and Dutch legal reviews. He has been visiting professor at the University of Utrecht (2007) and at the University of Burundi (2003, 2004 and 2006). He is the head of Leuven of the Ius Commune Program on Property Law and reporter for the European Working Group on Transfer of Movables. Het is member of the Task Force and co-author of the European Casebook on Property Law (forthcoming, 2008).

He is also a barrister at the Brussels Bar, in the law firm of Eubelius (www.eubelius.com).
