    Prof. Dr. Alain Verbeke.

    (born 1964) (Bach.Phil (Leuven), Ph.D.Law (Leuven), Lic.Not. (Ghent), LL.M. (Ann Arbor, Michigan), Negotiation Program (Harvard)), is Full Professor of Law at the Universities of Leuven (Belgium) and Tilburg (the Netherlands).
    He is Chair of the Department of Private Law in Leuven and Visiting Professor of Law in Harvard. Verbeke is a Partner with GREENILLE Estate & Trust Attorneys at the Bar of Brussels.
    He has written numerous books and articles in national and international journals. He is on the Editorial Board of several law journals and member of a number of organisations and commissions, such as Advisory Council of the Von Bar Group on a European Civil Code, the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, the Trento Group for the Common Core of European Private Law, the Committee for Research and Legislation of the Royal Federation of Belgian Notaries.
